Tips for Getting the Best Results with the Skinny Shot (Semaglutide/Tirzepatide)
1. Take your shot in the evening on the same day every week.
2. Drink a minimum of 64 oz of water a day. On a hot day, drink more. This will help prevent constipation and assist your body in flushing out toxins and stored fat.
3. Supplements that you can take include: a daily multivitamin or individual supplements that contain vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D + K, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, chromium, CoQ10, branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), glutamine, and a daily probiotic. Lots of these can be found in protein shake powders.
4. Intermittent fasting is effective when on the Skinny Shot. Those who opt for intermittent fasting (8 hours of time to eat during the day. For example, 12pm to 8pm) can lose more weight than those who do not. You can drink plenty of water during the fasting times but should not be taking in calories. Eating before you give yourself your injection may help with nausea.
5. Avoid alcohol during your weight loss program. You can drink or you can lose weight. It is difficult to do both successfully. Drinking during this program also increases your risk of developing pancreatitis. Please do not do it or greatly limit it.
6. Low carb is ideal for maximizing your nutrition and aiding in accelerated weight loss. Prioritize lean proteins and vegetables, some fruit, nuts and seeds, and good sources of healthy fats. High-carb diets are associated with slow weight loss and increased GI symptoms.
7. A High fiber diet (loads of vegetables and fruits) or a fiber supplement such as psyllium husk (Metamucil) is ideal to feed and repair your gut biome. It will assist in both constipation and diarrhea symptoms. It can also help lower cholesterol.
8. Keep stool softeners and Miralax on hand. If you are not having regular bowel movements then you need to add this on board.
9. Weigh every week at the same time before you start your day.
10. Choose a minimum of 3 days a week for 30 min – 1 hour of some kind of physical activity that is challenging for your current fitness level. If you are starting out, even just walking on a treadmill or outside is very effective. You can always increase the time or speed as you feel more fit and lose weight. Adding weight lifting is a great idea to help avoid muscle loss.
11. The goal is to lose 1-3lbs a week. Some weeks will be slower or may stay the same. It does not mean it is not working. The program requires titration of medication to the right dose over many weeks and months.
12. Women who are on oral birth control pills, will need to switch to a different birth control method or have a backup, due to the pills not being absorbed as well when on Semaglutide/Tirzepatide.
