A full treatment course starts off with 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Some cases may need more sessions depending on the severity of hair loss and desired results. Maintenance is usually done every 3-6 months.

Hair loss can occur for a variety of reasons, and the underlying causes may differ for men and women, though there is considerable overlap. Here are some common causes of hair loss for both genders:

• Genetic factors (androgenic alopecia)
  • Men: Often referred to as male pattern baldness, it is the most common cause of hair loss in men. It typically starts with a receding hairline and thinning at the crown and eventually leads to complete baldness in some men. This is usually due to genetics and the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which shrinks hair follicles.
  • Women: Women can also experience a form of androgenetic alopecia, but it usually manifests as diffuse thinning across the scalp rather than a receding hairline. This condition often becomes more noticeable after menopause when hormone levels change.

  • Telogen Effluvium: This is a temporary form of hair loss that can be triggered by physical or emotional stress, surgery, illness, or major life events. It causes hair to enter the shedding phase prematurely.
  • Traction Alopecia: This type of hair loss is caused by excessive pulling or tension on the hair, such as from tight hairstyles like ponytails, braids, or buns. This can cause permanent damage if the tension is not relieved.

• Medications
  • Certain medications can lead to hair loss, including those used for cancer treatments (chemotherapy), blood pressure medications, antidepressants, anticoagulants, birth control pills, and thyroid medications.

• Scalp conditions
  • Dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles) can irritate the scalp, causing hair to fall out.
  • Alopecia Areata: This is an autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system attacks hair follicles, resulting in patches of baldness.

  • Over-washing, excessive use of heat styling tools, and harsh chemical treatments can damage hair follicles, leading to hair loss over time.

The Hair Biosome Solution is injected directly into the scalp like PRP injections. Injecting exosomes into the scalp offers a much more targeted, concentrated, and efficient way to stimulate hair growth. While topical application can provide some benefits, particularly in enhancing the health of the outer layers of the scalp, injection allows for deeper penetration and more immediate effects, particularly in the areas where hair follicles are most active.

Injection ensures that the exosomes are delivered directly to the areas that need them most, such as near the hair follicles or areas of thinning hair.

Injection also allows for a much higher concentration of exosomes to be delivered to specific spots where hair growth is desired. When applied topically, only a small fraction of the exosomes will make it into the deeper layers of the scalp, and much of the substance might be lost or ineffective due to its inability to penetrate the skin fully.

Some people may start to see results within the first month after their first injection, but expect max results 3 months after your last treatment.

While any injection can be painful, we find these injections to be less painful than your normal PRP injections because they don’t have to be injected as deep.
